Colouricious Block Printing Holiday. 11 days in Jaipur, January 20th - 31st. Part the fourth.

A cupboard door made up of all kinds of off cuts of old damaged furniture.
Fabulous layers of design.

This is my last post about our amazing trip to Jaipur - life is marching on!
While the holiday was a specialist block printing one - we did so much more. Jamie certainly knows how to show you a good time, usually with some special extras. like elephant painting, a trip to a special block printing village and 2 rather special dinners. if you are tempted - here is the link to the Textile Holidays - colouricious.com/textile-art-holidays-trips

The block printing was great fun and most of the group are now quite experienced printers. It was a wonderful opportunity to work in so many different workshops and factories.

Having the factory workers on hand to help was a special treat.

There were various trips to all kinds of delights. My favourite was a visit to a salvage yard - just heaven. such a wonderful mix of colours, design and texture. I could have spent a week there drawing . . maybe next time . .

Such a wonderful source of design of ideas.

No two holidays are the same with Colouricious. Jamie is always finding new venues and excitements to share with her groups. There really is something for everyone.

We ate in some beautiful restaurants and drank in one amazing bar . . .

Looking back over the photos I took, I am reminded that Jaipur is an incredible source of design. Everywhere you look, up, down, all around you - there is inspiration. I can feel another trip coming on. Maybe one based on design, a journey inspired by we can see around us, more sketch book work . . and several trips!!! Mmmmm - maybe January 2019. I think I will make a suggestion to Jamie . . . .

I am now just about ready to load the car ready to leave in the morning to drive to Belfast where I will get the ferry to Scotland. I will be staying with a good friend and her family in Belfast tomorrow night. One of the good things about so much travel - I do get to catch up with friends on the way.
I will get the ferry to Scotland on Tuesday ready to set up my stand for the Glasgow show on Wednesday. I will be at the Sewing and Quilting Show at the SECC. March 2nd - 5th. I will be on stand S04 and will be giving a lecture every day. I am looking forward to catching up with more mates at the show.
Hopefully I will see some of you there.
